Most of these dining rooms reside inside the luxurious hotels of Mayfair, Belgravia and Westminster — The Dorchester, The Connaught, The Lanesborough, for example — but it’s a revival that reaches deep into the independent restaurant scene as well, at places like The Guinea in Mayfair or the new upstairs grill room at The Devonshire in Soho.
