A few years back, Belmond’s Casa de Sierra Nevada — San Miguel de Allende’s original luxury hotel, a collection of old houses — added yet another historic mansion to its portfolio, this one adjacent to the town’s biggest park. This brings Sierra Nevada’s casa collection to six. And this complex has also has a charming little restaurant, Restaurante del Parque, that serves beautiful homestyle Mexican food. I didn’t stay here, but I dropped in for a quick lunch. Here’s a lightning-fast look around.

Bottom Line: This is a truly charming restaurant and bar in a very quiet part of town. The food is very good. The drinks are even better.
