I recently checked into the West Hollywood Edition and loved it. The design is like a collection of his greatest hits. His imprint is everywhere. I recognize bits and pieces from the old Mondrian motif (those terra cotta pots at the entrance, the gauzy curtains) and Public (near identical rooms), the Royalton (those velvet drapes). My time at the hotel was extremely brief, as I was in town for nonstop meetings. But here’s a very quick look around. (I didn’t get to take many pictures. Security tried to confiscate my camera because I hadn’t signed an NDA.)
