The original Grand Velas revolutionized the all-inclusive resort sector in the Riviera Nayarit when it opened there more than 15 years ago. And now comes Grand Velas Los Cabos, which is guaranteed to be a game-changer for Mexico’s Baja Peninsula. All meals, beverages (including top-shelf wines and alcohol), taxes and gratuities are included in the price of the room (about $750 per person per night, based on double occupancy). It might sound expensive at first, but once you realize the caliber of the restaurants here, you will realize it’s actually a steal. The food at every restaurant on property is absolutely fantastic, but especially Frida, Lucca and Cocina de Autor, which are easily three of the finest restaurants in all of Los Cabos. And the spa…!
I recently checked in for a 72-hour weekend break. Here’s a look around.
